So you didn't like the ribs, did both of you have to post a review or is it a commercial for Gale Street and Twin Anchors.

Please do not go here for ribs!!

We let somebody convince us that it was every bit as good as places like Twin Anchors or the Gale Street Inn. Believe me that the ribs are not even close. I am guessing Carson's would give these guys a run for their money (and at least when you are gnawing on those bones you get a good sauce)

The ribs were tiny, with many of them the legnth of your pincky finger. The sauce was pedestrian (we got take out, and I had to use some BBQ sauce in the fridge). The meat is stuck to the bones and all this for a price that rivals its much better peers. If you are stuck in the loop and need a ribs "fix", they are certainly edible and will do the trick, but if you need good ribs in Chicago please do yourself a favor and move on...

The best thing about the ribs is the coleslaw that comes with this. If you are used to Twin Anchors quality ribs, than you will be sorely disappointed.

It's easy to ignore the bad reviews, but don't ignore this one. I can't even say these ribs are better than Carsons Ribs.

These ribs are only about 3 inches long, and do not even come served with sauce on top--they are essentially dry. They do NOT pull off the bone, you MUST use a knife.

Better ribs can be found at Twin Anchors and Gale Street Inn.

The best bar/restaurant in Chicago. Prices are extremely reasonable. I recommend the Prime Rib Sandwich… it is generous in size and served as an open face sandwich on one piece of bread with your choice of potato for less than 10 bucks. The Bartenders are great…. Especially Damien. The right side of the bar is his section when he is there.

I had a great time sitting at the bar after The Big Downtown closed. Well, that was until the owner/manager someone of that authority who was drunk himself realized I was underage and I got kicked out. Ha! But he payed for my first few drinks.

A couple weeks later I went with my roomate and a few friends to eat dinner and it was crowded! Waitstaff were rude but the food was good.

i was there on 12-11-05, i must say that old chicago it is not, the bread was hard the butter smelled awful, the cole slaw had a mildew odor, i was sick to my stomach the rest of the day, i miss the quality of real food and service, what happened to the good ole days? the server brought our food, we never saw him until it was time for the check, is that service? i think not, of course i did not complain because there was no one around to complain to, i paid alot of money for bad food, i highly suggest that no one eat this food if you do bring the pepto!!!

Each and every time I make it to Chicago I make it a priority to eat at Miller's at least once. THE RIBS are the BEST. Just came back for Chicago and we ate at the Pub 3 times.. great service and greatest ribs ever. An instructor at IBM in the late 70's told me about Miller's and the ribs. You've never had Baby Back's if you never been to Miller's...
