i tried this place for the first time tonight. perhaps i'm spoiled by great sushi spots nearby, like yuki hana and wakamono, but this was the worst sushi experience i ever had.
for one, they prepared my rolls within a matter of 2 or 3 minutes. the fish was of horrible quality - i ordered the rainbow roll, and ate one piece, and didn't touch the rest. i also ordered the salmon avocado and tropical. both were unbearable, mostly due to the sketchy quality and appearance of the fish.
not going back.

Nohana is not a good sushi place to go to if you expect the real deal. This place is for cheap people that thinks they love sushi and just wants quantity over quality. The are not cooking their sushi rice correctly - hence it is dry and not mixing w/ the vingear right. Also, I can't stand the fact that they are using bad seaweed that are chewy. I don't even mind the slow service if the food was actually worth the wait.

It's saying something that I prefer the House of Sushi and Noodles over this place. The waitstaff were lazy and had to be called every time to come over(and the restaurant only had two small tables besides us). The food was awful, the fish was horrible quality, the rice not even real Japanese rice and lastly it all tasted like someone practicing how to make sushi, and doing it wrong. Every shortcut that could be taken, was. Soft shell tempera crab should be wrapped into a roll not just thrown onto a plate(have I mentioned how much the presentation sucked?) Anyway, never going there again that's for sure.

Without a doubt the most I've ever gotten for my money at a sushi restaurant, which is surprising considering that it's in Lakeview. Other Japanese fare (tempura, teriyaki) is superb and also reasonably priced. Decor and service are average, but plan on spending half of what you usually would in a similar restaurant.

This place is great, waitstaff is friendly and fast, food is wonderful, and it is very affordable! I love the Dynamite with avocado roll, and the gyoza roll, sooo good!

Nohana offers good sushi for a great price! We have been going to Nohana for over 10 years now and continue to eat there time and time again. We enjoy the Party Platter, 15 sushi pieces and 3 rolls, what a great deal. The waitstaff is friendly too.

Nohaha offers friendly and prompt service, fresh food, and great prices. Their combination boxes are the best value and allow you to sample a variety of flavors. I find myself craving Nohana regularly and their inexpensive-yet-tasty menu has allowed me to return again and again.
