I dont know who wrote this review, but they should review this place again. the menu does have taco combos and enchilada platters. I went on a double date last night to Nuevo Leon. My husband had the enchilada platter, and my cousin,(the other couple) had the tacos,(not the combo, but it was on the menu). I would give the food 3 stars out of 5. I had the carne asada platter. The steak was tender, though not seasoned very well. The atmosphere is very family oriented, though set up could stand major improvement. This place is EXTREMELY cramped. There is no room to walk, stand or sit, also, the floors were very nasty. No I'm not eating off the floor, but cleanliness IS a major sign of good HYGIENE. When a restaurant doesn't keep the lobby environment clean, you have to wonder about the kitchen. I must be honest though, i would go back for more, but it would most likely be take-out.

I had heard nothing but great things about nuevo leon. I went there with a girlfriend last night and we were both equally dissapointed. The tortillas were the best part of the whole experience! Our entrees were so-so and the service was slow and very unfriendly. To get anything we had to attempt multiple times to flag a worker down or eventually just get up and walk over to them. The man whom I assume is the manager was also rude. Maybe Thursdays are a bad night? Also, make note they only accept cash and the "atm" they direct you to in the parking lot is covered in duct tape... so bring cash. I will stick to what I know and love, La Casa Del Pueblo!

This place is just wonderful. The best case in point is my visit there today for lunch. Even though it was EXTREMELY crowded (I & my friend got one of the last tables) and our waitress was running all over the place, the service was great, food arrived quickly and was superb as usual. I have NEVER had a bad meal here. I have seen people gripe about the service from time to time, but this place can get VERY busy, so the waitstaff is usually busy as well. If you want REALLY great Mexican food and want to order of a creative and large Menu and not pay a lot, go to Nuevo Leon, it's just a great place that's been around since most of us were born....

For years we have been dining at Nuevo Leon and its the greatest I think. Mi familia and I live by O'Hare and come down here for great comida! The taste is so great and always worth the wait! Especially the tortillas!!

This is one of my favorite Mexican restaurants mainly because of its authenticity. It's almost always packed, but the waiting line moves quickly and the food is worth the wait. I wish more Mexican restaurants were this authentic.
