This bar rocks. It is a total dive, but with a pool table and four dart boards, as well as awesome jukebox, it's the perfect spot north of the city to start your night or if you don't feel like dealing with all the fru fru of Wrigleyville. The the crowd is as laid back as it gets -- no need for pretentious folk when you're drinking in a dive. It is supposedly open until 4 a.m. but after drinking $7 pitchers for five hours, I didn't make it to 4 a.m. But I will be back.

Went there last night for the first time in 10 years. The place now has an extention, but still the same dive bar I fell in love with as a Irish college student over 15 years ago. Now I am 15 years older and the girls are 15 years younger. Ah well, I made the most of it at the time. Always good to see Ben, Owen, and Marty.

The O is an adventure waiting to be taken. Think of it as the "Goonies" of bars. Its a dive to be sure, but the creepyness that permeates the place is what makes it so dang interesting. If you're not going with the intention of finding someone to take home with you and don't mind dives, the O can be entertaining. Just remember to bring lots of wingmen.

I had the pleasure and honor of living above 'the O' for a year and I must say, it was my favorite place to lose consciousness. Forget 'snobby Northwestern' students---the only NU you see there are the misplaced foreigners studying things you can't pronounce at a level you couldn't understand even if you devoted your entire life. It's the cliquish Loyola children you must be careful not to step on. Trust me...if you haven't been seen on campus you are immediately tagged a 'pervert' or 'freak' along with the unfortunate blue-collars who choose alcohol over Euthenasia. All-in-all, not a bad place if you are simply looking for a no-nonsense draught or shot.
