I love this place. The salads and pastas are great - I love the fumigato! It's especially nice to sit outside on their beautiful patio. And the service is great on a consistent basis. I highly reccommend checking it out!

This place is definitely not what it once was. Every time, I'm just a little more disappointed. The vodka sauce is still great, but other things seem to have decreased in quality. Overcooked, undercooked, or bland...you pick. At least they have the garden, which is probably keeping them afloat. The service is also lacking these days. 2 years ago I could go in and see the same servers, always pleasant and knowledgable. I assume they have moved on, but in their place are some disinterested servers who act like I'm interfereing with their day when they come to take my order.

I had to try this place since all my co-workers were talking about it. So I went last Friday to check it out. My girlfriend and I were amazed. Hands down the best Italian restaurant in Chicago, and the prices were unexpectedly low. The homemade lasana was incredible. My girlfriend had a waiter suggested (not on the menu) 3 cheese sauce with chicken and a linguini noodle. We couldn't figure out which one we enjoyed more. Also the steamed clams in white wine sauce (not marinara) is superb. Near the top of my top 10 list for sure and I have been everyhere from Gibsons to Ambria.

Orso's has hands down the best Italian food in Chicago. Their cozy inside dining area is perfect for any occasion, while their romantically lit garden area shields you with a veil of fragrant grape vines. The portobello mushroom appetizer is incredible, especially when paired with the house chianti. Try the veal parmigiana, chicken rosmarino, or the scrumptuous tirimisu. The staff is friendly and knowledgable. Orso's never disappoints.

I ordered the chicken Vesuvio because of the online reviews lauding it.Very disappointing. However, three of my companions ordered different veal dishes and ALL were delicious. Next time it's veal for me!

On Sunday 8/22/04 7:00PM We had Veal Marsala. Veal was very tendor and it did have nice marsala flavor. Ate out side great atmoshere. Waitress was very good just enough attention and pleasent personality.

Orso's is wonderful! I love the outdoor seating area and bar. Perfect for a nice summer evening. The inside is also wonderful. We had a great meal and stayed for hours listening to the piano player. Very nice atmosphere!

Best Italian food and value in the City of Chicago. Great wine list as well. Try the chicken Vesuvio. Margherita Pizza is excellent. Outstanding patio area with space heaters. Very nice owners.

The foodstuffs were freshly boiled and had a tastiness about them. I wish to return for the recommended caesar salad with fried calimarry. Some friends report that the steaks are phat.
