On Monday, July 27, 2009 we went at 7:00 pm as a family. I have visited this course as a child and brought my 3 kids along. My youngest daughter is entering into 3rd grade, and was 1" shy of their 48" minimum requirement. After asking the "Manager" if he would make an exception due to her short stature, he gave me a line of bull about "insurance policies not allowing anyone under 48". Are you kidding me? Would any special needs child over 48" pose less of an insurance risk? My daughter was crushed and we will never give them our money. The place had no line, parking lot was empty except for a few cars. Way to ruin a reputation!

On Sunday, July 19, 4 of us (ages 40+ to 60+) went to Par King for an enjoyable Sunday afternoon. We were not dallying around or just chatting but the manager, Chris, decided we were going too slow and came to threaten us with expulsion if we didn't hurry it along. There was no one waiting behind us and none of us were taking the maximum 6 strokes per hole. He was rude and nasty - telling us not to argue with him when we tried to tell him no one was waiting. WE were averaging 2 to 3 strokes per hole. We called the next day to complain and talked with another manager - George who stated that he had to get Chris's side of the story and would call us back. We have yet to hear from him. For all the talk about what a great course this is, they are lacking in courtesy. We will never go back to this course again. Just a warning to those of you who do not play golf that you too could be kicked out if you don't know what you are doing!

This place is for real. It's classic. I mean, seriously, it's the best mini golf in Chicago and has more style than any course I've seen anywhere else either. And I do a lot of mini golfing.
