I have been going here since I was a kid. BY FAR the best place in Greektown. The cold appetizer combination plate is the best anywhere, Tigania is amazing, lamb with artichokes is awesome too - I could go on and on. If you're in the mood for fish, my dad swears that the whole fresh fish cooked Grecian style is the best and freshest around. The food is amazing, truly family owned, wait staff that have been around for years and years...I really can't say enough good things!!

I have been going to the Parthenon with my family for twenty years. It is by far the best place in Greek Town, serving up the best lamb with artichokes, Tigania, and moussaka around. Family owned, the waiters are all characters, that have been with the place for years. It is a crime to to go anywhere else in Greek Town!

If Greek food is what you're after, stop in here. A family operation, a little old-fashioned but there's nothing wrong with that. The lamb is roasting in the window as you enter, the service is attentive but low-key, and the prices are low enough to have appetizers, entree, and desert for $25 a head including tip. Shackelford rating: food 9 menu 8 atmosphere 7 value 9 for a total of 33/40, first-rate.
