My wife and I organized a Saturday night outing for three couples to meet for dinner at Chief O'Neill's at 6:00 p.m. followed by Hizzoner at 8:00 p.m.
This proved to be one of our most enjoyable outings in recent memory.
Food and ambience at Chief O'Neill's exceeded our expectations, and the show is terrific, particularly if you are 45+ and grew up in Chicago.
Fee advice: get to the show no later than 7:30 p.m. as there is no assigned seating and the theatre fills quickly.

Prop Theatre produces exceptional avant guarde works of art in an intimate space. They have something for everyone and have won over 15 Jeff Awards. They innovatively produced the first "New Plays" festival in Chicago, which other major theatres are now cloning. Whether you are into comedy, musicals, dramas, alternative lifestyles, or whatever, they always have a plethora of plays with diverse appeal. The tickets are very reasonably priced and are a superb value compared to other "major" theatres. Also, the space is aesthetically pleasing and the seating allows everyone to experience and feel a part of the action. The Prop also has last minute shows like Alfonso Ponticelli & Swing Gitan Caravan (exceptional Gypsy music), The Other Three Tenors (Superb Opera singers), and Professor Irwin Corey, one of the greatest Kings of Comedy in American Theatre.
The Prop Theatre is located at 3502-4 N. Elston Avenue just south of Addison and north west of Belmont (if you are at the intersection of Belmont, California and Elston go Northwest about 3 blocks-the theatre is Northwest of Chief O'Neil's Restaurant.
