This is an exquisite restaurant that leaves your mouth wanting more even if your stomach says no. You end up satisfied. I love this place. A bit pricey: for example we were a party of 7, ordering 3 appetizers, meals, and 6 deserts and 4 glasses of wine for a total of $363.00 Tips is not included. Dress casual. on Halsted and Randolph so take 90/94. I recommend the Kung-pao, the surf and turf, the chocolate bag, and the bavarian chocolate mousse desert.

To give you another idea I hate sushi and i tried the Ahi Tuna, LOVED IT!!!! I hate kung pao chicken and LOVED IT!!!!! IT WAS AWESOME

With its unique exterior design and beutifully lavish and detailed interior Redlight is a hip, confortable place to kick back. The food, which is the main attraction for me, is awesome. The tiger shrimp and the spicy ribs appetizers are just the beginnning. The wrinkled green beans are a must have side dish. The hong Kong Jerry is a main entre dish that is over the top and will require a huge appetite or doggy bag.

If one has the room the signature desserts by famed Chef Jackie Chen will not disappoint. The chocalate bag and banana coconut flam are out of this world amd are my favorites.

The friendly service is knowledgeable and professional. This restaurant is a consistent winner with me and I highly recommend it.

Without a doubt, Red Light's decor was among the most entertaining and decadent of any restaurant in Chicago. The oversized lamps and tribal wallhangings were incredibly captivating; their uniqueness certainly complimented the entrees. My boyfriend and I loved the food - we ordered fried artichoke hears to start and split the wrinkled green beans and kung pao chicken for dinner. My only complaint is that the menu's meat options don't include filet. The service at the bar was less than attentive, even though it was not overwhelmingly busy. Our waiter, however, was very accommodating and obviously had years of experience. I will definitely go back and recommend it to anyone like me craving the 'scene' as much as the food.

Overhyped establishment. Was better when it started. I did not like my duck -- burnt and abominable.

Fancy drink at bar was not stirred, so the flavor was hiding in the bottom of the glass.

Maybe they'd make it up to me, but with the $25 certificate from their website, and who knows why, I didn't complain.

Go if you have snobby aunts from Streeterville wanting to have a hot time.

I am not a big fan of most of the West Randolph establishments as I think most of them provide above-average food at high prices (e.g., blackbird, vivo, marche). I do, however, think that the food at Redlight is awesome. I have been there for both lunch and dinner and have loved every dish that I have ordered. Price and waitstaff quality are the same as all of the other Randolph street places.
