Rolling Stone Records is the new release mecca of Chicago. Most widely distributed new releases can be found cheaper than anywhere in Chicago (b/t $8 and $12). As a new release becomes "older", the price sinks as it seems they are trying to get rid of inventory. Otherwise, they have a very interesting selection of obscure '70's bands and oddities (again cheap!). Don't go there seeking a specific record; but, you'll be pleasantly suprised what you'll end up with.

I love this place, everything is so inexpensive. The only downfall is a lack of world or latin music, but if you're looking for anything ordinary, you can usually get it cheaper than anywhere else.

The store blows if your looking for any good punk cds. Otherwise it's pretty cool.
