Our dinner experience in May 2006 put this place at the bottom of our list. Here we go 1. placed at a table downstairs beside the bar where patrons waiting for their table stand yakking with their butts practically on your table; don't accept any of the few tables alongside the downstairs bar. 2.My dish & my wife's were both way too salty...like, BAD.Brought to the attention of the staff who said they'd mention it to the kitchen... 3. two tables away,2 table jockeys changed the glassware/cutlery/linens on two EMPTY tables 4 times during our 1 hour meal...they even rolled the tabletop off the base a couple of times,rolling it between tables. 4. They took a spare chair from our table without asking etc. & in better places this is just not done.There were other chairs available at a nearby empty table, but our table was closest to their circus-act, so I guess thats why they grabbed it. Thankfully,I can say from experience that Chicago has alot of great places to dine; Rosebud on Rush isn't among them.

Incredible food, great location - Rosebud on Rush is an awesome restaurant! You'll see a lot of celebrities there because its across from the Penninsula and very close to the Park Hyatt and Omni hotels. Try the cavatelli, it's incredible!

We had dinner on February 14, 2005. Excellent service. Good chicken marsala. Exceptional rigitoni with sausage. Excellent raviolis. Homey but elegant atmosphere. Our table was a little to close to the nearest table.

Had dinner there on Saturday 11-8-03. The name 'Rosebud on Rush' is appropriately named as our waiter had us through the entire meal in 1hr 15mins. Our salads came after the entrees. The cheesecake desserts were frozen solid. The online menu looked great, but the pasta dishes were very, very ordinary. For an authentic Chicago Italian meal, try any of the restaurants on Oakley Street (where they will not hustle you to get the table turned over). Perhaps this is just a tourist spot now...

My favorite Chicago restaurant!! Everytime I am in the city, this is the ONE place that I MUST visit! The cavatelli is excellent!
