John Forsyth says: On Friday 11/11/05 12:32 PM "You can never go wrong with Sarks. I eat so much there it's unbelievable. Best food I have ever eaten in my entire life. I recommend Two Bacon Lorettas, Cheesy hash, and a Sunkist."

If it's the "best" food you've ever eaten then you need to get around chicago and out of the suburbs some more. There're plenty of greater diners and dives in the Chicagoland area.

I've been eating there for 4 years, and yes, the lorettas are good; however I would hardly go completely out of my way just to have one. It does have a very chill atmosphere, if a bit crowded and the service tends to be fast. I would consider it something to try when in the area, not the overrated amazing best food ever that everyone seems to consider it to be.

If you didn't like this place, its probably cause you saw what it looked like and made up your mind before even ordering.

The food is amazing, simple, and greasy. Exactly what everyone deserves and should get for $5.

If you are a fan of diners and dives this is one of the best places for you. Depending on the time of day you will see anyone from high school students to executives minus the tie and slacks.

If you're looking for some over-priced high class establishment that thinks $4.00 for eggs is a fair markup because its cooked in its own pan and served at your own table by waitstaff, this isn't the place for you.

If you're looking for simple food in interesting combinations in a tiny and hospitable atmosphere, welcome!

I walked in and walked out. Did not order a thing, the smell of grease was too much for me. My son Alex Dern loves the place.

I make a special trip to Sarkis every time I'm up in the burbs. Been coming here for years and love, love, love the bacon loretta. Yum! So what if it's not a classy restaurant with plenty of space and all of the city amenities you are used to? If you are looking for that, go somewhere else.

Shameful service, A friend of mine had lunch there recently. Upon hearing that she was from LA the owner Scott took it upon himself to ask her if she was an actress. Then further went on to ask if she was in Pornography. Right in front of her family! She was dressed in jeans, a long sleeved shirt and a puffy vest. Not some revealing outfit eluding to such a comment. I certainly would never eat at a resturaunt owned by such an offensive person. Where I come from you dont speak to a lady that way.

Very ordinary food, served in cramped, uncomfortable tables. Big with the high school and faux hipster crowd. If this is your idea of "atmosphere", you're welcome to it. We live 3 blocks away and will never go again.
