The original Skyline Stage was like a mini-Ravinia, stretched out a half-mile into the lake. It was a dream venue to hear live music, acoustically perfect, with stunning views of the skyline and Lake Michigan. They couldn't leave well enough alone though.
Then they built a garage that eliminated the grass area where people could sit through a concert, so the venue seating now merges with a huge concrete garage wall which eliminates much of the lake view.
The M.P.E.A's marketing/advertising people are obviously patronage workers due to the failure of selling tickets major acts like Dr. John (with an 18 piece orchestra) who was cancelled due to poor ticket sales.
However, I know Dr. John fans who would have paid big to see him, but they didn't even know the show was scheduled.
So much for the 'city that works.'
