I love the "Big Bowl". The food is always in good quantities. You can customize you order.(more cilantro or no peanuts) whatever. I find the waitstaff always eager to please me and my guests. The best "Kung Pao Chicken" I've ever had. I travel alot and have gone to a "Big Bowl" in 6 different locations from Minnesota to Texas and all were very satisfying. I give it an A+.

In this vast world, one has many options when the subject of food comes up. Something I am determined to find is Pad Thai that does not taste like vomit with cilantro. Unfortunately, Big Bowl could not provide. (and they put in too much cilantro even for vomit). Prices are way too high for the experience. Do not go here unless there is no other option. And don't even think about wasting your Lettuce Entertain You card on this dump.

I went to this place once with my wife. The food was so-so, portions were slightly skimpy and prices a little high. The strutting peacocks called waiters were probably aspiring actors, just doing this to pay the rent. Someone tried hard to create a new-age ambience though. They skimp on heating and the noise is too much. But if you are starving and nothing else is open, my wife thinks the ambience is good.

went here over the weekend and was extremely disappointed. i dont understand what the other reviewers see in this place. mediocre food (many other places in chicago to go for better/equivalent asian food at cheaper prices), horrible layout (people in waiting area/bar were crammed right next to some patroms dining tables), disinterested host(when one diner at the aforementioned tables asked the host if people standing next to his table could be moved the host looked at me and my date who were among about 10 people standing there and asked us to move...which we did, but asked noone else, which was fine for me, but didnt solve the other patrons problem...they need to get rid of those 5 or 6 tables by host stand), and completely blase waiter. the attitude with which he took my food order and described the menu was perfect, if one was eating at denny's. if you are from out of town, trust me the other reviewers must be restaurant employees.

Almost given up looking for authentic asian cusine in Chicago. Almost everyone Americanize the menus here. Then I found this place. Great service, prices and atmosphere but the best thing was they actually served authentic dishes. We have a big asian migrant population in Australia, so I know asian cusine. This was every bit as good as home. Haven't eaten in all the asian resturants in Chicago but of those I have this is light years ahead. Sensational.
