I go to Stanley's every Sunday for breakfast and always have a good time. The food is great and so is the staff. You can eat all you want for ten bucks! It's well worth it.

stanley's is my favorite bar in chicago. the staff is amazing, the people aren't "un-drinkicated" and the atmosphere is fun and relaxed. more celebs and pro whatevers than anywhere plus free shots of whiskey ready to grab on your own at the bar and free mashed potatoes after midnight!!! come one how can you ever hate this?!?!

have never been there at night, however the weekend brunch is really awesome---it's worth the sometimes long wait.

Stanley's is a great bar with a terrific jukebox and a very high celebrity-sighting index. I've met more professional musicians and more pro athletes at Stanley's than any other bar I have ever frequented. The staff are generally friendly and helpful. I have to say I was very entertained by the review posted by "JL". Clearly he and his friends must have been "amateur night" drinkers if they didn't know that "closing at 2am" means you have to get moving about 20 minutes earlier. Of course if you're not an amateur and know how to make friends with bar staff (anywhere), you find that you don't have to live by the same rules.

Absolutely the most horrifying experiences of my life. Trust me, if there's a rating of negative stars, that's where this place belongs to. My friends and I were hanging out at the bar on Friday night before superbowl sunday. They claim the bar closes at 2am but started kicking people out at 20 minutes till. And by kicking out, imagine the rudest behavior you ever saw. They behaved like the children of your worst nightmare. I would be ashamed if I was their relatives. The unfinished beer of my friend's was yanked out of her hand while the management threw one dollar bills at my friend, accompanied by a string of profanity that was utterly uncalled for. A customer who has paid the tap is entitled to enjoy the purchased goods at a comfortable pace. The service was pure aggression, with repeated personal insults. Please pass this onto everyone you know. This is a place that is not worthy of your business. Period.
