We learned of Bistro 110 from various food allergy sites. My wife(Jen) is nursing our milk, egg, nut and beef allergic son Colton. I had e-mailed Chef Domonique Tougne asking what food items my wife could eat. He e-mailed me back explaining that both of his children have food allergies and he would meet our party when we arrived. We arrived early on Saturday night and the Chef came out personally to assure my wife regarding the that he would cook a dish personally for her. He brought out the dishes that he prepared for my wife and even gave her a cookbook with allergy-free recipes. The food was fantastic and the service and care was great. My wife had a tomato salad, seafood and sorbet that was prepared seperately from all other foods to avoid cross-contamination. I had the Steak Aux Poivre et Gallette de Pomme de Terre and creme Brulee and they were both fantastic. The waitress treated us quite well and the personal care from Chef Domonique was amazing. We truly appreciated the experience and thoughtfulness of the Chef and waitstaff.

I would recommend this place to anyone.

When the onion soup is awful, it doesn't say much for a bistro. The top of the cheese was burnt, and it was so rubbery, it needed to be removed to a plate and cut up with a knife and fork. The soup bowl was shallow and contained only a tiny amount of broth. I guess that's portion control at work. For our hot mussels appetizer, I still can't figure out how the outside of some of the shells remained ice cold while some of the mussels inside were tepid and some were hot. A bad microwave day perhaps? The tables for two were small and we were crammed in like sardines beside a drafty window. An altogether bad experience.

Wow. What a disappointment. Food was served cold, the service was horrible (server and bus staff) and the menu way overpriced. I thought this was a legitimate Chicago restaurant and I know realize it is only another in a pretentious list of tourist traps. If you are looking for a unique, tasty, and pleasing dining experience, bypass this joint!

We had some friends in town so we gave Bistro 110 a try. We went there for the Jazz Brunch - nice ambience, decent food (the salmon cappacio came with salad that was well dressed and tasty; the creme brulee was excellent!), but unfortunately, the service was indifferent.

My girlfriend and I dined at Bistro 110 on Valentine's Day last year. The food was succulent, the service was great, and the atmosphere (or was it the unbelievable chocolate cake?) had us seeing stars. Needless to say, we loved it, and we'll be back there for V Day again this year. Highly recommended!

Went there once last Christmas season. It's a gorgeous restaurant! The place was empty, but still we waited for a table, then were seated next to the kitchen. I found the food uninspiring to say the most, but am heading back there this evening... maybe I'll be pleasantly surprised!

Bistro 110 is our favorite Chicago restuarant. We eat there every time we are in town. There is nothing bad on the menu, very highly recommended.

My dining experience can be summarized in one word-wretched. I dont know what was worse, the food or the service.

My brother, son and I ate at Bistro 110 in August of 2004 and the food was great. The service was wonderful and friendly. We went on a Wednesday night and got right in. I had Duck and it was absolutely delightful. My son had steak and loved it. My brother's shrimp coctail and soup looked delicious and he commented that indeed it was.

I had dinner at Bistro 110 with my husband and some friends while visiting Chicago in March for a business trip. I thought that the food was very plain and the wine list was o.k. The service was horrible!! I wouldn't recomend it to anyone. It is over priced and over rated!
