Well, I hope the owners take consideration to these reviews. I was in for Sunday football. The Bears were playing the Chiefs. Not only did the girl behind the bar have a horribly unprofessional mouth on her, but she was equally beyond rude. My group of friends walked out and went to a much nicer establishment down the street. Funny, I saw some of the people at Toon's follow us b/c they were equally disgusted. Out of curiousity, why is she still employed there? I've never heard good feedback about her or her behavior.

I have lived in the neighborhood for years and last night me and my girlfriend had a terrible experience at Toons. Upon entry into the bar, we were harshly greeted by the doorman demanding IDs. No problem with this convention but it gets better... after promptly providing our IDs (both are in our mid-20s) he continued to hassle my girlfriend and claimed her ID was not her. Then he refused to give her legitimate drivers license back to her and began questioning her in a cocky manner and making a public mockery of us by passing around her ID to nearby bargoers. After about 10 minutes of this belittling conversation with the doorman and a bitter taste in our mouths, we decided to walk down the street to another more inviting bar. The owner should carefully review the staff's treatment of local neighborhood patrons. We will not be going back, it is no way to run a business

Great neighborhood joint. I always go there on the weekends and play shuffleboard. The bartender is great and the food couldn't be better. Awesome burgers! Waitresses are a litte spotty, but go the bar! Bloody Mary's are always helpful on a saturday afternoon too!

I have been going to Toons for the past couple years and just recently moving to the area I frequent the bar occasionally (moreso than before). From the first time I walked in the bar I had nothing but excellent service. The service was the main reason I went back a second time. If you are looking for a decent little neighborhood bar it's worth your while. Food and service are great, they definitely take pride in both.

Never dined in or been to the bar but our staff always orders carry out. The food is amazing. I particularly love the ribs, but I think my favorite item is their homemade ranch sauce. Oh my goodness. I can put that stuff on anything-- salad, ribs, their seasoned fries, marinade it use it as a dip... etc. It may be a bit thinner than people are used to, but trust me, the taste is soooo good...

I agree. What a pair behind the bar. A drunk new guy and the old angry miserable drunk girl. I don't go in on weekends anymore. What a couple of LOSERS!

I agree with the comments on the unfriendly staff. Great food but somehow not worth the risk of being in a shouting match with an angry bartender.

I was in about a week ago. Had a nice time. The power went out. It was actually pretty fun. I seem to understand who everyone is speaking of on this site. At the end of the evening, last call, Get the f _ _ _ out was screamed by the bartender. What a lady. I'm sure that attacts business. I sure hope Dene or Danny is reading this site!!!

I just went there yesterday for lunch. Popped my head in hoping for Ed or Dana. I got a dirty look from the bitter bartender and walked right back out the door. I love the food there, but some of the staff is HORRIBLE!!!
