My wife and I went to this place against our wishes. My good friend was having his birthday celebration there after dinner. We paid less than the normal cover charge ($5/person) with an invitation, but only between certain hours (11:00-12:00) which is when the crowd was at its largest! I thought we would never get through the line, it took nearly an hour and a half to get to the door. They forced us to check our coats, which was an astronomical $8/coat. That's the same price as a drink anywhere else. On top of that, these people have the audacity to place a tip jar on the counter at the coat check-in. Are you serious?! So much for saving on the cover charge. Now I'm $26 in to this damn place and I haven't even begun to drink. The place is ridiculously crowded and the "dance floor" (if you can call it that) is horribly laid out. The "second floor" (not sure if you can consider it a floor) was worse that the first and the drinks were overpriced. The music is not monitored well, as the sound levels are overly agressive for some of the music and you can barely hear yourself in there, let alone anyone else. I could just as easily have fired off some rounds and no one would have heard. I am now permanently damaged from hearing on both ears! (just kidding). I can't really say I recommend this club to anyone. I personally did not enjoy myself or the atmosphere. But like anything else, YOU won't know...until YOU go!

Well I had a good time because they had really good music esspecially for you hip-hop fans! there is a second floor in which you can go up to. its kind of cramped but the room has its own bar! the main dance floor is pretty damn big and you can be entertained by all the ladies dancing on the poles surrounding the stage. i liked the ambience and i went for my friend's birthday and it bad cuz we didnt pick that b-dash party crap, we jus went in and had fun.

I LIED! I actually went back and it was cold outside. About 35 degrees and snowing. I got a little love at the door this time and got in. The night was cool, but at the end of the night is when the fights kicked off by coat check. A couple of people got their ass WHOOOOP while trying to get their coats. The area was so packed that security couldn't get there right away. When I finally got aside 5-0 was everywhere with their batons out and with the paddy wagon. Moral of the story....... If you go out just got to have a good time.

Transit is cool. I liked the place. I just hate the wait. It takes awhile to get in. Even if youre in the VIP line. That guy at the door is always a DICK with something smart to say. Once you get inside its cool. The music is good too. I wouldn't go back if its cold outside though

HATED IT!!! I will never go back there again. I planned a surprise party for my best friend and it was a total disaster. I e-mailed Kelly and Cliff and they were confirmed that the party plans were set. When we got there the party was not on the list. We had to pay full price. The guys at the doors were assholes and acted like their shit didn't smell. My friend's husband wasn't let in because they claimed his clothes were baggy and they had guys who's pants were hanging off their ass who got in. The girls who were dancing on the poles were terrible. Also the DJs played the same songs over and over again. I will never go to Transit again. If you are looking for a good time go to Green Dolphin, Cherry Red, Rednofive, or Tini Martini. At least the bartenders were nice.

this is pretty much the WORST PLACE YOU CAN HAVE A B-DAY BASH AT.

TRANSIT IS A WASTE OF TIME TO GO TO. TRANSIT IS ONE OF THE WORST CLUBS I HAVE DEALT WITH...THEY GOT GOOD MUSIC COMPARED TO OTHER CLUBS BUT THATS IT...THEY WILL NOT TREAT YOU "VIP" OR THE WAY THAT THEY SHOULD IF YOU GO THERE...FIND OUT FOR YOURSELF AND GO.

-Transit is like any other nightclub in terms of party packages. If you do not arrive as an entire group with a printout proving your package then you are going to get screwed. Guys will always be charged for entry. I actually got lucky on a Friday and didn't get charged but forget it on a Saturday. You will be lucky to pay half off ($10) if you are a guy and will kiss their feet for that price. If you are a girl and not super hot you are paying $5. -The VIP rooms are nice but not that impressive and they are only exclusive during open bar and when there are a lot of parties happening (which seems to be a lot lately). -You are waiting in line no matter what because 75% of the people there are there for a party. -If you are in a party then it will be an extra $3 to check your coat to get into the VIP rooms. -After 11 they do not check people to hard to get into the VIP room as long as you are dressed normal and not looking like you do not know where you are going or trying to sneak in. -I find the bouncers are friendlier to people who are just normal nightclub dressed up. Way over dressed or under dressed people get a hard time.

To sum this all up, Transit is like any other nightclub. They screw party packages over. Women get better treatment. Open bar drinks are water downed. If you order top shelf make sure they take it from the top shelf.(top shelved pulled from the well is usually re-filled with generic, but you cannot complain so next time just order well).

I've read some of the negative reviews on here... and I have to say... there's 2 sides to every story. I personally think Brad is one of the nicest, most genuine promoters around. He offers unbelievable deals... for birthdays and bach parties! The crowd is back to the original: good-looking! If you're looking for a nice place to have fun without the usual hateful nightclub scene... email Brad for a great time. Decently priced drinks and good music.

Do not go to their Pimps and Hoes Halloween party. It is such a fucking rip off. A friend and I went their as a doctor and robin hood. The asshole bouncers said that even though it was a costume party we were supposed to be dressier. Their website said nothing about having to be dressy, it said you can go dressed as a pimp, ho or in any other costume. So we drove back to South side to put on our regular clubbing outfits. When we came back the bouncers tried to say we still weren't dressy enough. But when I told him we already paid for our tickets on the internet another bouncer said to let us in. When we got inside we saw guys wearing costume that were way less dressy than what we tried to wear. The website promised pornstars would be hosting the party. I'll admit we got there late, but we did not see any porstars there and we were there for over 4 hours. Basically our night there sucked. Please don't go to Transit's Pimps and Hoe's Party. Don't go to Transit at all.
