I will try to remain good spirited while giving a review so I will simply state the facts i order to prepare you for your stay at the Tremont... First be prepared that there is not an ice machine or available drink besides the tap water from the bathroom...I frequented the Walgreens two blocks away on Michigan Ave. The hotel is in an amazing location with the John Hancock Building merley steps away...the problem is the view is obstructed by the dirt on the windows...The sign warning of light attracting "small bugs" if you open the window wasn't what I wanted to see...the staff was nice...even when they told me that local calls are $1.70per call and then 10 cents a minute if you excedee and hour...which helped in keeping me from avoiding the bright idea of just signing into my laptop and leaving it on the avoid the $1.70 charge...either way it was expensive...the rest I will leave you to descover on your own...oh and the option to have your sheets changed is available with a little card you are supposed to leave on the bed...if all of the sounds appealing to you then I will say enjoy your stay

I am afraid this hotel is going through some management issues that might be affecting the quality. On a recent 3 day stay, with rooms reserved over 2 months in advance, I was told upon arrival that the room requested (a suite) was not available because previous guests had decided to stay longer. After a 2 hour wait we were placed in the adjoining Tremont Suites. The room there, while a suite, was worn, on the dirty side, and rather dingy. Between the second and third day the sheets were not even changed. All in all, it was a very disappointing visit -- one that I'm afraid will make us find another hotel the next time we visit Chicago.
