LOVE THIS PLACE!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Good cheap fresh old style food. My fave comfort food in the city. Great thin crust pizza and dinners are yummy too. Great tomato sauce. Fantastic north side secret,,,,,

FYI, Villa May has since moved from their Montrose location. They're now on Lawrence just west of Clark.
Anyway, BEST pizza on the north side. (I did my own informal research :-) Their delivery guys are super nice, and they always bring me a free bottle of soda.
The major plus is that they don't get their tomato sauce out of a can. Well, ok, I don't know that for sure, but I am almost positive - canned tomatoes become acidic and upset a lot of people's stomach. However, Villa May's sauce never gives me a stomach, leading me to believe it's fresh.
Their deep dish and thin crusts are equally good. My favorite all time pizza there is the "Spinach Supreme." It's fresh ricotta with spinach, onions, mushrooms, and garlic, and then I add sausage to it. Incredible.
I've only once had something that wasn't pizza - their lasagne al forno - and it was pretty good, but it's really their pizzas you should go for.

Best stuffed crust pizza in the city, bar none. Love the late hours on the weekends. Stuffed Spinach Supreme (I'm a Veg) is the insider recommendation.
