The wild hare owner is a racist, he discriminates against anyone that is not Ethiopian, there are law suites and petitions to revolk his liquor lisence.. He is dishonoring jamaica's culture and religion..

I was at the hare fri 01/29/10, It is unreal how the owner Zack is still walking around acting like a fool, When his this guy going to wake-up , He bands some people because of the way their dress he needs to look in the mirror he himself look dirty , looks like he has'nt touch water in awhile , He looks like a street person. its so sad the hare used to be a great place , its amazing how one person can damage a place and the owner at that . degusting.

I would not recomend this club to a dead man.. The owner is a racist that hates anyone that is not from his beloved country of Ethiopia.. He constantly sits by the door and reject paying customers simply by the way that they are dressed while other patrons from the baseball game or local neighborhood get free passes to come and go.. He is a hopeless philanderer, although married, he lives a secret life inside of the club where he prey on his customers mercilessly.. We are putting a petition together to close him down and we will be at the next hearing to reject his liquor lisence...

I've been comming to the wildhare since 1991.. I've seen people come and go, the owner Zeleke is a racist Ethiopian club owner, he hates African American's.. He think they are a threat to his club.. I was there recently on Habesha night, he put a sign of $30.00 entry fee to camoflage the true reason why he wanted to keep unwanted and selected individuals out of his club, while most east african and european guest enjoyed their night for half that price.. He has misused his club, he has misused the rasta spirtual movement, people should be aware of this man and his untoleable behavior in the 21st century!!

THE WILD HARE USE TO BE A NICE PLACE , NOT ANY MORE , THE OWNER IS A JERK , MOST OF THE STAFF ARE MEAN, DRINKS SUCK, NOTHING BUT A MEAT MARKET.

For a time being the Wildhare was no doubt the best place to hang and enjoy the best of live reggae. I have been a patron of the clung for years till almost 5 months ago where security on advise of the owner Zeleke says I can't come into the club no more. I am not the only oner there is a multitude of persons that have the same story of being refused entry no absolute reason given. As such the free atmosphere at the Exodus makes it the best Reggae place in town. Management at the wildhare really makes the club disgusting, I sure hope you read and take into consideration all negative reviews bring back the Wildhare of the Old. Whatever happened to the customer being kings and Queens?

Coming to this club makes you realize how the reggae scene sucks in Chicago (contrary to Miami, NYC or L.A). The crowd is old (beware u might see ur granny dancing the dutty wine on a dark corner...), no cute guys at all and dem gyals...scary! Wednesday night is aaiiight I guess but be ready to leave at 1.45 am and go home. Parking is a bytch, but hey that's Chi-town ! If you want to enjoy real reggae music forget the Midwest and move to another city !

I love this club. It is unlike any place I have been in the city. Great ambience , friendly staff , great sound and Music.
