edgebrook is not too bad. its really meant for the senior crowd, kids, and beginners. I agree with richy with the mats. If they did have grass boxes there we be no grass left after one season. For the golfers that are decent you will find this course to be very short. On most of the driving holes you will be able to knock one close enough to knock a lob wedge shot. The only reason I like to go is because other courses get so packed in the summer. Its not too bad but some of the fairways resemble a war zone.

The poster below must be from Arizona and thinks trees are cactus...there are tons of trees on this course after the first few holes. I played this course when I began to golf. Its fun if you're a novice golfer. The reason for the mats is to let the landscaping escape from the barage of hackers and shankers who should go to the driving range and discover which end of the club to hold.

This is the worst "golf course" I have ever played. Do not waste your time. This should not even be considered a golf course. If I shaved my back, put a tee in my ass, and popped a zit with a pin, that would be closer to a golf course than this cow pasture with no tees, few greens and nothing else that even resembles a golf course. Chicago is the worst city in the U.S. for golf. The weather is unplayable 6 months a year, the conditions suck another 5 months, so that basically leaves June 15th-July 15th as the golf season. All the ranges are mats only, and the prices are high to boot.
