Post Your Own Ethnic Heritage Ensemble Review

The Ethnic Heritage Ensemble is a free group of some of Chicago's finest noise makers. genius really; I think their performances are usually improvisational, led by Kahil El'Zabar who is a master at the thumb piano and gets a beat out of his earth drums that your feet can't resist dancing to. Lester Bowie and Ernest Dawkins hold the creative "free jazz" part of the ensemble. As far as a jazz group that had no bass piano or any other typical anything>these guys rock>simply put I saw them play at the symphony center last summer and by the end of the set there were grannies up front dancin' around.
