I have been to Bob Chinn's (Wheeling) many times throughout the years. I love the food and the MaiTai's. I felt I needed to write a review after our last visit. Last week my family and I went to dinner and we recieved the best service we have ever had. Our servers name was Nick. He was very attentive to our needs. Quick with bread and drink refills. His recommendations were wonderful. I just wanted to thank Bob Chinn's for the great service and food.

Been to both and the Downtown just doesn't do it. Wheeling easily one of the best seafood spots around. Called the Wheeling office to complain about downtown and found out the downtown is a franchise and Wheeling has no control over the day to day activities. I'll not go back downtown.

Having been there twice (over 3 years), I fail to understand the attraction. Yes, the food is exceptional, but for the price, the ambiance is terrible. As another reviewer notes, you are herded like an economy class airline. At $120 for the average meal, I'd much sooner take my lady somewhere where we can hear ourselves think, and enjoy a leisurely meal.

Whoever says the one in wheeling "Sux" should burn in HELL. Absolutely the best Seafood Resturant around.

The "Wheeling" location is outstanding! I had the salmon and was knocked over with the flavor. I must mention the garlic rolls, finger lickin' good. The Mai Tai's are an entire experience of their own. You won't be disappointed with the "Wheeling" location you can wear anything from Jeans & T-shirt to a suit and tee anything goes.
The "Downtown" location is TERRIBLE. Do not waste your time and more importantly your money.

It was like eatting a part of "Heaven"' I haven't been home to Chicago in over four years. Well, a close friend of mine surprised me with a visit to Bob Chinn's. Everything, was wonderful. I had the Stuffed Shrimp with the Asparagus and the Mashed Potatoes, My friends had the King Crab legs and same sides and the other had the Crab Cakes. I must tell the portions are very large. You need to take your entire appetite with you. The hot rolls will melt in your mouth. The service was excellent. The atmosphere was very nice. It was a little cold with the Air Conditioning. But upon request it was adjusted! I have found a little piece of heaven here on earth. Well, I am back here in Virginia now....Longing for some Bob Chinn's, as you can see I have been searching in hopes that there is a one near me. It's all that I can rave about. Dear Bob Chinn's I love your food do you think you could build one in my neighborhood, or in Washington, DC. (A plee like the Kidd that got White Castle) Sincerely.. A faithful Customer and Friend. Great Seafood In Wheeling...sucky Food Downtown...the quality Level just doesn't reach the downtown location as you would think it would be the reverse....definitely go to the Wheeling location for the best Lobster tail you will ever eat in Chicagoland....not to mention all the other wonderful seafood you can get
