If you're in the mood for a slightly different brunch experience than standard diner fare, Svea is a great place to check out. It's very moderately priced and much more spirited than nearby Ann Sather's or Charlie's Ale House. The omeletes are good but standard; I recommend a more quintessential Swedish experience involving Swedish pancakes, sausage, and meatballs, the likes of which you will not find so authentically Swedish this side of the Atlantic.

We drive an hour and a half one weekend a month to visit the city and always eat breakfast at Svea, the service is amazing and the food even better. In my book Svea is the best hands down breakfast place around!

Svea has a special place in my heart. They serve, hands down, the cheapest breakfast in all of Andersonville, and damn is it wonderful. Tasty pancakes with lingonberries, and fresh squeezed OJ -- quite the way to start a Saturday morning. Get there when they open, 'cause the place only seats 10-15 tables plus a bar. Top notch!
