I have hope for this place. Tradition shines through in delicately crafted treats. Service is a bit slow, but it's worth the wait.

If you want ruined evening go to this place! horrible management! They mistook my accent for slurred speech, and tried to kick me out.

My family have been customers for over fifty years now and just ordered two half sheet cakes for our Grandchildren for their graduation from highschool. Dinkels cakes are the best tasting in Chicagoland. We also get requests from family in Florida and North Carolina and Michigan to bring the Dinkels cakes with us when we visit each year and we do. This Chicago "institution" has started to cut corners on the quality of its ingrediants. Yuppies won't know the difference, however.
