Alec: I read your review shown below and I'm not a bit surprised. The owner ,whise name I know but decline to mention, hasen't got a bit of class! He's just another bottom-line bottom-feeder who only cares about your money.

Ahh! Pete Millers! Where the food is over-rated and over-priced and the musicians are under-paid under-appreciated and treated poorly.

I just tried Pete Miller's in Wheeling last Friday night. This place was really fantastic. The live music from the bar area filled the entire restaurant but it wasn't too loud just good. I tried their signature bone in ribeye and was blown away. The lobster bisque also was to die for. I think most of the time the experience at a restaurant is most dependent on the quality of the service. And let me tell you, our waiter knew his wine. I would recommend the chocolate fudge cake for dessert but make sure you have at least four people to share. I give Pete Miller's in Wheeling four stars.

I was planning a party for 35 until I came accross this review. Too bad for them. I do these things monthly. Customer service should never be this way!

The original Pete Miller's in Evanston proved so popular that The Clean Plate Club opened a second Pete Miller's at 412 N. Milwaukee Ave. in Wheeling approximately one year ago. My review concerns this new location.

Our server accidentally dumped a full glass of red wine on my wife and me. We were soaked to the skin and our clothing was stained. Although he apologized profusely, the house did not offer so much as a comp Coke, much less offer to pay for the cleaning. It took one e-mail, 3 voice mail messages and 12 days before I finally got a response from the restaurant manager. He agreed to reimburse us for the cleaning and make amends “with a round of drinks and a couple of appetizers.” Well, he kept the first promise but broke the second. My subsequent letter to their corporate office was ignored.

Such lack of consideration is inexcusable. My wife and I will NEVER return to any restaurant operated by The Clean Plate Club!
