pretty decent food but way over priced. decor is sad to say the least... drop down ceilings with water stains aren't impressive. neither was the grouchie old man who barked at the staff. too many better choices in the city to bother returning.

We ate at Chef's Station last week with my 75 plus-year old parents. The food was generally good, but not great. Service was slow. All in all, an ok evening. However, we will not be returning. That is because, after we waited for our $213 plus tip bill (total evening in excess of $250 for four), the owner/maitre de came to us to ask us to vacate the table. This was within 10 minutes of our having settled up and we were waiting for my mother to return from the bathroom before we left. At least he did say that we did not have to get up until she returned. In my opinion, this was unacceptably rude. As I said, we won't be going back. Very disappointing.

I LOVED my dining experience at Chef's Station last night. From the moment we walked into the door for the time of leaving, it was a wonderful experience. The food was exceptional. I had the maple glazed duck breast and was in heaven. From the wait staff being wonderful to the owner of the restaurant coming over to our table a number of occasions to see how things were. Fantastico!!!!!!

This is my second time to Chef's Station and my absolute last. I tried to give it a second chance, but enough is enough. Our dishes were unbalanced and awkward. Service was poor and decor . . . different, describes it best. There were four people in our party, everyone described their meal as just ok. For the price, I was very dissatisfied.

WORST SERVICE EVER. We've had problems the last 3 times we've been there so we no longer go. Its sad bc the food is amazing.

The food at Chef's Station was outstanding! I would highly recommend the sweet potato bisque and braised short ribs. My husband had a delicious cod creation; however, we were very disappointed with the service. The waiter was not attentive and aloof. We've recommended the restaurant to friends who also enojoyed the food, but had similar experience with the service.

As the latest Fodor's Guide puts it, Chef's Station is "the best of the best" of North Shore restaurants. Absolutely!
