No kidding about imposible cancelations! Your contract doesn't even actually EXPIRE!!I moved out of state and despite a call to them regarding this, I am still being ripped off three months later! Even though contract EXPIRED last month! When I called to complain AGAIN, I was told that I was an adult and should read the fine print on my EXPIRED contract (packed away) and know when person I am speaking to at Cheetah is NOT telling me the whole TRUTH! This from the general manager. Nice ethics they got there. Still having a lawyer look into whether an expired contract can be "renewed" by a gym, as they claim.

Dear Editor, All of the Cheetah madness forced me to move to a new gym: Edgewater Athletic and Swim Club - with a big marble swimming pool! The machines and free weights are housed in an elegant turn-of-the century ballroom complete with chandelier and wall sconces. The best part of it is Derek DeLapp, trainer and owner. He runs the place in top customer service style and curtrently completing a major build out to enhance members' experience. Looking for a new gym? Try the EASC! Bob Sphatt

DO NOT join this gym. They have made billing mistakes four months in a row now, requiring dozens of phone calls, explaining my situtation again and again. there is never an apology. i get repeated $20 fees for mistakes THEY make and don't seem capable of fixing. yet every time, i am blamed, until they finally figure it out -- then i'm warned it is the last time they will waive the fees -- HA! it's ALL cheetah's fault though!! it is truly crazy. the WORST customer service ever. HORRIBLE!!

Sadly all the people that I gave complimentary memberships to when they lost their jobs or people I just helped in so many ways are always more quiet than people who can only be cruel and abusive and negative. I lost much more than you. There is no comparison. My accomplishments were impressive by any standard. The facts are now represented in court documents that support my allegations. Please do not perpetuate stygma's against people who may have a mental illness-as many of us do. It is no different than having leukemia or cancer. I am only human. My heart breaks like yours. But I helped many people and gave away a great deal of money to many worthy causes. I built a wildly successful business from nothing. I shared generously. Do you know what it is like to have hundreds of employees and thousands of customers? You are not the only victim. You trusted me with some of your most sensitive private information for years? Discrediting me personally does not make much sense to me. I know many of you are grinding axes for various reasons. I recognize many names. I did not lie. I did not steal. I was just one man who did his best against great odds and failed. I hope you do better if you are able to experience something like what I did.

I've been working out at Cheetah since they opened their doors. I've never been in a gym that I like more. Sure, there were a few days of drama, but its over and easy enough to ignore. I've never had any problems with staff or billing. Long story short...nice gym, convenient, staff seems nice enough, neighborhood feel. Has everything I want, but a pool. I reccommend it.

Cheetah has the same problems as any other gym; crowding, billing errors, impossible cancelations, and less than enthusiastic staff. However, the main problem with cheetah is the owner, David Wilshire. This man is a train wreck. No decency towards his staff; whom he tried to lay blame on for his own failures as a businessman. No decency to his members; taking my monthly payment the day before he closed the gym. The man does not deserve another dime from any honest person who just wants to get into shape without dealing with the personal problems of a bi-polar, meth addicted, conman, gym owner. Being involved in the whole ordeal makes me feel filthy all over.

Where do I begin...Hows about with the fact that this place is actually reopen under new management. ARE YOU F'n KIDDING ME!!! What do I do now do I have to sign up again. I just want to make sure I can walk in there once more, look tthat plague on society David Wilshire straight in the eye and ask him "Where have all the cowboys Gone??" And while he stood there stammering for a response I would take me money out his wallet and head on down the road. This place is a HOUSE OF LIES!!!

I am so upset by what this CRAZY man has done over the past few years to a great local facility and it's staff. I loved being able to walk a short distance to work-out every morning. Now I am forced to travel by car to a Bally's, which I probably won't do. I hope another company comes in and takes this mess over and brings this back up to snuff. ***ANGRY***
