I have been going to Himalayan Cuisine on and off since December of 2006, mostly because it was within walking distance of where I lived. It had always been a little above average for me but since October there seems to have been a management change and apparently the chef and the menu are different as well. Talk about WOW! Improvements in the food have been amazing and I recommend it to all my friends now. The manager is very friendly and will even sit down and have a drink with you at your table and hold a lively conversation (as long as the restaurant is not so busy). The beer list is the most exotic I have seen in my life and the happy hour from 3 to 6pm has 2 for 1 beers! The service has definitely gotten friendlier and more casual, perhaps to better appeal to the younger UNLV students from across the street. For all those who have written negatively about this place in the past, I recommend that you give it a second shot. And for all those reading this for the first time, this is definitely one of the best places to go to in Las Vegas hands down, as long as you are not looking for anything fancy and prefer a social setting.

well no doubt that there food is good, but the service was horrible, we got there an hour before closing and they were just wanted us to order every thing at once as if they cannot wait to close. good place to eat bad service.

My husband and I dined there for the first time and loved it. It was a little crowded so the service was a bit slow, but it was worth the wait for the food. We had vegetable samosas, palak paneer, chana masala- we chose medium spice and it was perfect. After a certain point, I was eating the palak paneer for recreation- it wsa so good. The naan was hot and toasty as mentioned in another review. Great value for the money- our appetizer, two soft drinks, two entrees, and two orders of naan came to $30.

We come for dinner with and without our 18 year old son. We all enjoy the variety of the Non vegatarian Thali, we go for mild. It is an all inclusive meal. A great way to taste a lot of choces. This is the best Indian and best value around.

A very good restaurant. Authentic Indian food for very reasonable price. We enjoy eating Lunch/Dinner/Carryout at Himalayan Restaurant. We love this place and recommend every one.

Please do not think of going to the restaurant. Same varitety of food is served. Hopefully it is not the same food everyday. Desert is the same everyday - Kheer and Gulab Jamoon. There is no value for money.

I had placed a food order for pickup. The dish consisted only of curry and not chicken pieces like I expected. The taste is not of authentic Indian food. I wouldn't recommend going to this place to anybody. They just served curry with no rice along with it,and for 2 boring curries they overpriced it too.
