I used to go to Sigara every once in a while. I would have gone more, but the service was kind of slow and the staff was stuck-up. I but when I started going there again this past winter, I realized that they had completely re-staffed and got a new manager. What a difference! They are super helpful and attentive.
The atmosphere has changed a little ...but for the better. The customer-base is more diverse now (from young hipsters to 30-somethings to international travelers), probably thanks to the fact that YOU CAN DRINK AND SMOKE HERE! This is definitely our new spot. And they know how to make great hookah!

Hookahs are great! Food is good too. And the drinks go great with the hookahs. I have to agree...service is so/so. When it's good...it's really good. when it's bad. It's very very very bad. I once went there with friends and they were so helpful with everything. Of coourse that was on a Wed. I went back during the weekend and it took them 45 min to get our order....but they were extremely busy!
So I say go to Sigara during the week instead of weekend. You can't go wrong.

Not having the means to fly to a more authentic place, Sigara offers an experience that may or may not be legitimate (I'm not one to say) but is definitely enjoyable. The decor, the ambience, and the music work together to produce a comfortable environment that accentuates the hookah. Sigara's sheesha seems stronger than other places I've tried, and the waitstaff was friendly--even though we arrived lateish on a Monday night, they let us take things at our own pace. Altogether I think we've found our new place for hookah; if you're interested in a fun experience I would recommend Sigara over other hookah bars in Chicago.

orientalist place banking on a fad. their hookah's aren't bad but their service is on and off, which is to say that when it's off it is terrible. food is average though prices are high. their belly dancer is attractive, the night i went, though her dance moves hardly qualify as authentic. if hearing the word "fusion" doesn't bother you or you're a self proclaimed yuppie, then this place may not rub you the wrong way. there's no accounting for taste, after all.

I visited Sigara this past Friday night and the place was awesome. Very good food, great ambience and vibe, hookah's are exceptional, belly dancing was nice, good music and overall, the place is very comfortable. It feels like being at home due to the fact of couches and pillows everywhere. I went for a private party and the back part is so elegant..o0ooo!

Loungey place with a huge skylight in back. Beautiful Hookahs and the food is really good. The Jenie bottle area in back is quite relaxing. Definitely check it out.
