the last fri of every month@darkroom is in my opinion the best music u will hear in the state of il!moz,cure,dm,postal service,omd,suedenew order all 4 $5!great music, no posers,no rap,i have found my nu home.

I enjoy going to Darkroom on the first Saturdays of each month for the dancehall dejays. My friends and I have a lot of fun. The music is great, the crowd is awesome, the drinks are good and not expensive. I've never been to a club where EVERYONE dances - but that's how it is the first Saturday of the month at Darkroom.

I really like this place. Great atmosphere, great sound system, and good DJ's. My only negative comment is bad wait service. Our waitress came buy 3 times the enitre night...so save the trouble and start a tab at the bar.

I have to take a minute to say that I really love this place. It's such a breath of fresh air for someone who is trying to bust a move in Chicago. For such a big city, we don't have many cozy dance places that aren't always playing 80's. This place has the atmosphere, the music, and the down-to-earth people. Cheers!

Don't come here unless you want to wait in line for an hour for no apparent reason, or get harsaaed by the heavy bouncer that refers to the place as "his house". I went there last night not expecting to be treated so rudely. The bouncer said his policy was "a few in, a few out" but he let so many people walk up and cut in line that the rest of us were waiting for an hour! Then, when we finally got up to the front, we heard him say (not to us but to other staff) that he was pissed becuase people were complaining so he wasn't letting anyone else in. Too bad he didn't tell the patrons this, he just let us stand there...not just a few people, around 20-25!! To that bouncer...get off your high horse and realize that without patrons, this place would cease to exist. So treat people with the respect that they deserve. To those looking for a good time, you won't find it here. There are plenty other bars/clubs to spend your $ and if you have any respect for yourself, don't go here, unless you want to be spit on and talked down to by the staff. Take my advice if you want, but don't say I didn't warn you!
