Never again! This is the second time around at this gym and having the same problems. I originally joined the Niles location around the time it opened for business. After 2-3 years I had to move for work and it took me forever to cancel my membership. I was also signed up for auto-enrollment on my credit card when I first joined without my knowledge. I had to cancel my credit card on top of multiple calls, and letters to cancel. I moved back in the area and decided to join again hoping that previous issues were fixed. Now I have moved again and no longer require the membership and I am having the same problems as before. I sent letters that are not received and there is no other way to cancel. We live in an electronic world and the only way to cancel is by an actual letter. You would think that being there in person making the request would be enough. A signature in person is not sufficient it has to be mailed in... Unbelievable, makes no sense! Furthermore, having some tenured experience it is unfortunate to report that the attitudes at this gym have not changed even though the staff has changed over the years. Rude, pushy, and unattentive staff. Every time I try to tan I have to flag someone down to get them off their cellphone or socializing/horsing around. The gym is fine, the value is fair, and amenities are good. Just don't try to get any customer service or try to leave and you won't have any problems.

Just a letter with your request and signature, no reason needed.

I went to visit this gym after reading the centerstage review and seeing that they have a 'juice bar.' The juice bar is really just smoothies and they sell juice in bottles. That is not a real juice bar. I asked for a smoothie with ONLY fresh fruit (as they have fresh fruit listed on their menu) and got powder, milk, and frozen fruit. I was incredibly disappointed and felt very misled. So much, in fact, that I was no longer interested in even asking about membership.

Listen everybody!!! Stay away from this company... All they care about is money. I went in there with a friend to try out the gym and some guy with an accent said I can't come in cause I been there before. But the fact is I never been there before!!! I never stepped into an Xsport ever!!! I just moved from the West Coast and there's no Xsport Fitness there. Then he had the nerve to say - "Hey Bud, it says right here... If you want to get a workout in you have to pay a $20 daily fee." WTF!!!I continued saying I never been here and I just moved into the city and working close by so there is no way possible that have ever been there. I dunno what else was going on that night, there was ballons and streamers and food... I just wanted to get out from the first inpression I got. Then some other guy came in and said well we can get you started on a 30 day money back trial, or something like that. After he said that I turned around and walked out and over heard them calling me a loser. What kind of company lets individuals protray themselves as arrogant as they were. They reflect what this gym is all about arrogance. I recommend no one to join this chain of gyms...I will never return to any other xsport ever.

Can not cancel your membership over the phone, fax or in person. You have to mail a cancellation letter to a P.O. box # (in which they can easily say, "we never got it"). Their reason for a mail-in is that they need an original signature to close an account, and that you cannot cancel in the actual gym because the gym has a "different" system than the one they have at corporate. ONE BIG BALONEY. Even financial accounts can be closed by fax. And you can open an account in person but not close it? A BIGGER BALONEY.

You can really see that members are in a losing position here. I'm disappointed of what I thought was once a great company.

Quite unfortunate I must say. I joined thinking I can have a good time working out with my girlfriend only to find out that most of the boys working there are dogs. I spent some time away and have recently returned. Yesterday, an employee literally put his hands on my girlfriend. I blame her for the sense of comfort she may have given him in doing that but it was not at all professional on his behalf. Furthermore, the men's locker room, looks like crap. maybe its because of the crap on the toilet seats. Xsport, I will quit you after my tenth visit and I am going to lifetime.Ciao!
