I am extremely dissapointed at the service we have been giving at the elston location. My mother and I just signed up at the beginning of the year and have paid all or our membership and even signed up for personal trainers. The personal trainers have no interest in keeping up with you as far as your appointments, far from even showing some type of gratitude. I mean a call would be fine as in to asking whens the next best time you'll like your appointment. I mean they did hassle us down into getting us signed up, and now since weve paid everything, they don't care, They're already paid. As far as zumba class, it had been ridiculous the amount of complains and issues. Obviously the zumba classes at elston are very popular, and now since the class gets full, theyre leaving a lot of members who would want to join behind. One day they allow 60 people and the next 50, not to mention management and intructor waste good 15 min of an HOUR class in calling number by number. Its ridiculous. Theyre always complaining about the music being too loud and the front desk with their attitude. We are considering cancelling our memebership, although we paid all of the services we didnt use and the 25 dollar per memeber fee isn't even worth it, if we can;t even enjoy a good work out.

I'm shocked it has been a month and no response to me email- no changes in sanitizers either I might add. ELSTON needs more than 2-3 in the whole gym.

Did you actually go out and see them? Because I think they are pulling your leg. On the first floor there used to be like 5 sanitizers - there are only 2 now- one by the water fountain one by the desk. NONE by the locker rooms at all. No by the paper towel dispensers.
On the 2nd floor there used to 4 - there is only one by the water fountain. None by the paper towel dispensers.
What also makes me laugh is that when you ask about this the staff there always tell you some wild carzy story- corporate told them to take them down; they are changing solutions and new ones are coming (its been like 4 weeks since most were taken down); theyre getting new dispensers and they are all on back-order. I think gyms should have more than 1-2 dispensers per floor- these places are a hot bed of viruses and infections.

Hi Ben,
Thank you for always keeping me on my toes. There are hand sanitzers outside the locker rooms and underneath the paper towels dispensers at the Elston location. I can confirm that these are in place and filled to capacity, as of this morning.

What is with the sanitizers at Elston? They are missing off the wall or empty. These gyms are a hot bed of virus- I was so pleased when the gym seemed to care but it doesnt seem like they cared long...

Good customer service???? hahahahahahahahahaahhaha what a laugh.i used to be a member here at the elston gym. If you want a gym that does not believe in the first amendment this is the place for you. Having one of the trainers put you down infront of your own family then you are not able to protect yourself this is the place for you. I resent the day i joined this gym.

Worked out here back when it was Powerhouse. The bad things about this gym are first & mostly, the nasty, rank smell in the womens restroom. Disgusting everyday!Secondly, don't care for the certain mgr there who gets an attitude when you don't purchase more tanning points that you already have! Same guy lied to me on phone before I ever signed up & said there is plenty of parking there, & I knew better because I used to workout there. He is so full of sh*it. I definitely don't like his attitude! Wrong way to be towards people who are making your paycheck possible. Then the clientele. If you see me using a machine or equipment & my stuff is laid out by it that means I'm using it & when I'm done, I'm done. Being a chick, I loathe the creeps who have to come up to me & say how long am I going to be on there. Its the way its said & just not a way to talk to me. I am a take no sh*t from no one type of chick!Yeah, you got to have an attitude to workout in that gym. I lift heavy & I train hard & seriously. My workouts are just as intense as the roided out lunkheads who want to bump me off the machine I'm using. Then lastly, there is absolutely no gym ettiquette here! It's a free for all. What I do like is that the weightroom is hardcore & I get a good workout in if it isn't peak hours. I like the old school equipment & machines.

OK, I'm the first (maybe not the first) to complain when I feel like a business is taking advantage of their customers.... so let me also be the first and say WOW. X-sport is finally putting some money into this gym. We have new lockers- finally- and the treadmills and elip machines all have individual TVs now. Wow. This is a great start. TVs are functional yet but soon (I hope!) Great job.
