On a Tuesday night, I found the waitstaff to be attentive and helpful, and apologetic when the beer we ordered was out. The food was good - worth going back for - but not outstanding. The crawfish cakes lacked the crisp outside I was looking for, and the accompanying red pepper sauce could have used a little spiciness. The sides - and the number to choose from - were excellent. The live guitars-fiddle-bass quartet was a nice accompaniment to the meal.

I would have to agree with everyone. I thought the food and atmosphere was excellent, but the service was less than satisfactory. Worth the hassle, though.

I am a regular weekend morning Wishbone-goer and I have to say that I am growing very irritated with the service. I usually sit at the counter and it takes almost five to ten minutes JUST TO GET A MENU! The staff behind the counter literally stand around and stare at you, but make zero effort in waiting on you. It just seems like they are all hung over or something. I might have to make a change in my weekend routine if this continues.

The food is great here, but the service has gone to !@#$. A friend of ours arrived early, and they refused to seat her until we arrived--even though the restaurant was nearly empty. The corn muffins that used to be a beloved staple of every meal are now $1 each. The service has become slow and a weird mix of fake politness / rudeness. I used to really love the service here. I'm not going back.

we had reservations but came in early for a glass of wine; the bartender was very nice and let us actually try wines before we found one we liked. the food was amazing - the cheese grits appetizer with shrimp and ham was to die for, as were the corn muffins and spinach/cheese omelette. unfortunately, we had to have pecan pie because they were out of apple, but that too was EXCELLENT. the only complaint i have is that the biscuit wasn't reminiscent of the South; it was more bready than crumbly. come hungry, and don't fill up on the tortilla chips/muffins while you're waiting for your entree. we'll definitely go back to try other dishes.
