I am so ready for this year! I can't believe I get to see Great Big Sea AND Old Blind Dogs on the same day - two of my favorite groups. Thank you, line-up planners!

It's been a while and we're looking forward to it!... As followers and supporters of the celtic language quartet "NAVAN", we have attended many Irish and celtic fests throughout the midwest. Chicago's Celtic Fest is 2nd to none!. It offers a wide assortment of entertainment from high energy celtic bands to the softer more serene sounds of harp, flute and voices. It's a family event with something for everyone. Thank you Chicago!

Coming in to Chicago and wondering if The Katie Sullivan Band is on the entertainment schedule this year. Saw them a few years back. They are phenomenal. Crossing our fingers!!! Hoepfully there will be more lodging and accomodations this year, too. Last year it was real hyard to get a block of rooms together anywhere!

When is the 2008 celtic fest being held? Where abouts in town, we're not from Chi - thinking about coming up to the festival.

Far and away the best Celtic Festival I have encountered in these United States. A good representation of all the Celtic countries, not the Ireland only fare you find at other fests.

The band Here be Dragons was great entertainment, they need a lot more of that kind of thing at the fest, how about some Flogging Molly or the Dropkick Murphy’s next year?

To give them credit though they are getting in bigger names, I am amazed they got in Jon Langford and Dolores O'Riordan, they both were class acts.

Lunasa, Teada, and the Fuchsia Band were all tops.

Some great Celtic music, but so little opportunity for observers to dance----what a shame! Celtic music just doesn't sound the same from a bleacher. How about more and bigger dance workshops? Include Breton and Galician dances as well as the more common Scottish and Irish dances....they are great fun, can accommodate many dancers in a small area, and easy enough for alnost anyone to do!

I thought this year's entertainment was outstanding! Whoever picked out the bands really did a great job. I was torn a couple of times between which stage to go to when two great bands were playing at the same time. I think that a couple of really fun bands got short changed because of the day/time they played at: the Muck Brothers and Salsa Celtica. So many people want to get home early on Sunday night and these bands did not get the audience they should have. I think that some stages on Sunday evening would probably be better attended if the fest finished up a little earlier.
