Usmania makes very good warm 'Naan' compared to it competitor Sabri Nehari whose Naan tastes like burnt paper. The food at Usmania is great! Compared to most indian and pakistani restaurants who over price and serve small portions, Usmania has become a hit in the Indo-Pak community. Their dishes, even when made to go taste wonderful at home, and I hear that they now have opened up an Usmania Chinese which is supposed to be fabulous. I went to sabri nihari and the biryani tasted dry and old. GO TO USMANIA, or atleast Take-out from there. You'll be happy, and so will your wallet.

Rude rude rude... Folks I'm telling you, don't even think about to go there. Service is awful. People are sooo rude. For food, you are waiting for long time. They don't care about customer intimacy. They are waiting from customer that just eat and leave. I never ever go again this place. I will tell everybody which are potential customers for the restaurant, not go to that restaurant.

Very bad experience, on friday afternoon abount 3 pm, we 4 brothers went for lunch, we ordered lamb korma, butter chicken and palak gosht. lamb korma was just lamb bones with watery gravey with no taste, butter chicken the worst thing on earth smelly and palak gosht was so so, I complaint to the waiter about this, he told me he will not charge me for smelly butter chicken but when I paid the bill I found he charged me for the wrotten butter chicken, it is a fraud. I recommed anyone not to go this restaurant anymore.

The food is okay. However the service is awful. the owner is rude. I went with my family and 2 small children. They sat us in the side of restaurant so that everytime the door opened cold air blew on my children. We requested to be moved and they didn't do it. Then our food took over an hour to come. When I complained to the manager instead of aplogizing for our wait he was just rude. I told him that we would never be coming to his restaurant again- he said "that's your choice" with a smug look on his face and no eye contact. I would not recommend this place- go to SABRI NIHARI instead- the food is better and the people are much nicer!

MAKING ART makes its world debut on stage at Gorilla Tango Theatre on 10/10 at 10:00 pm. I wanted to share some advanced reviews Janet Arvia's play has received from several sources. The Chicago Screenwriter's Group writes, “Funny and fresh. A wonderful and slightly bizarre romantic comedy. Very enjoyable.” Slamdance observes, “The hardest thing to do is create characters that the audience is interested in, let alone cares about, and [Janet Arvia] accomplished that mission. There is something special here.” Sad Hat Productions adds, “Janet Arvia’s characters are sexy, humorous and painfully real; great roles to showcase talented actors.” The Arkansas Arts Council calls MAKING ART, “Witty and clever. Quirky and contagious humor.” And film producer Barry R. Sisson finds the play, “Funny and entertaining.” MAKING ART runs from October 10-15. Tickets are $15. It's my favourite Pakistani restaurant, I love their biryani, seekh kebab and falooda. Service is above average (specially compared to some of the Indian restaurants I have been to) and prices are reasonably.

Me and my family were actualy excited to go to Usmania. First I called to reserve a table for 7 i went their and there was no more seats left.So we went across the street and we ordered after waiting half an hour. Just for the waiter to come and he was lost he didn't know half of the dishes on the menu. But my uncle had to go and tell the owner to sent a waiter. The only thing they had was tap water and the dishes were dirty. We got our food in about 20 minutes. IT WAS ALL COLD WE TOLD THE WAITER THAT IT WAS COLD HE SAID HE'LL GO MICROWAVE IT, WE'RE LIKE NO THANKS HE SAID OK. We got the check, it was $120 for COLD food. The owners were sitting around eating outside food, so carefree. We went to him and we we're like the service was slow and the food was cold. He's like I'm sorry, do you want a refund. We're like there's no point now you're supposed to serve the customer and not sit around and eat while customers are complaining. IM REQUESTING YOU DON"T GO TO THIS RESTRAUNT!!! It has been a horrible experience for my family. If you know what real food is you won't think to eat at Usmania..

I bet this place has the worst food you will ever eat on devon ave..and I think the ppl who write good reveiws abt this place must be the relatives of the owner...They say they serve Dum chicken biryani....but what i Got when I ordered biryani was chicken dipped in tomato suace with rice sprinked over it... I would give the place 3 stars for the ambience...but then you can always go to other places

Usmania restaurant on Devon avenue is great in terms of food quality, quanity, pricing and service. The waiters are very helpful in suggesting menu options. The biryani and kadhai meat dishes are fantastic! not too oily or spicy. The tandoori platter is a good choice for 4 or more people. They also have an awesome catering menu fora crowd of 50+ - about 8-9 dishes for just $10 per person!
