Best thing about Alive One is their commitment to the Music that makes Chicago great. Recently they have started showcasing the group LUBRIPHONIC every Thursday night. If you like funk, soul, rock, blues, dance or just great music you will love to join the LUBE craze. Everyone in the band has toured the world performing with this countries greatest names in Blues and Soul music. LUBRIPHONIC is their original project, following the lyrics and lead of Giles Corey, this seasoned, mind blowing group grabs your heart and irresistibly gets your feet moving. You can see them every Thursday at Alive One on North Halsted in Lincoln Park. Check them out for yourself at www.lubriphonic.com and then get away from your keyboard and stretch your legs and mind this Thursday.

It's a great spot to chill. I headed up there about a week ago and was surprised to see a dj in there backroom. The backroom is chill and has a great warm feeling to it. The dj was hands dow one of the best dj's in that area. Threr was a great mix of Hip Hop new and old. I haven't heard some of those party tracks in a a while. I even caught my self dancing w/ the diverse croud on their dance floor. I would suggest this spot for anyone looking to have a great time on a fri/sat. night.
