Food Quality: Great Service Quality: Absolutely unacceptable. The Story: So, we arrived without reservation. They told us it would be a 10 minute wait: we waited for 30 minutes. Ok, since it was a Saturday night and we didn't have reservations, this could be somewhat understandable, but despite them crossing us many times while waiting, they never once gave us an update...15 minutes after we finally sat down, someone came to our table to take our order and told us that the sushi would take about 25 minutes to bring out, and suggested we order an appetizer or two, so we got 2 appetizers. Well, 20 minutes later, she brings us only one of our appetizers and only 2 minutes later, the entree. With still no appetizer, 15 minutes after we finished the sushi and the appetizer (which also acted as an entree since it was pretty much brought out at the same time,) they brought us out the other appetizer when we had our coats on. They didn't even ask us if we still wanted it. Trying to explain to them that we were expecting both the appetizers before the entree and didn't want the other appetizer, the waitress gave us this look of death and grabbed the food and marched back to the kitchen. :-(

Fresh and fabulous sushi! Great ambiance and extensive menu selection. Presentation of maki is creative and taste exceeds expectations. Definitely in the regular rotation.

I have walked past this restaurant many time always wanting to give it a try, but for some reason, was never able to. Recently, I decided to stop in and give it a try and it is one of the better sushi restaurants in the area that I have been to and I am so glad I finally stopped in.
I ordered all different types of maki rolls and was happy with the quality of all that I ordered. The fish was very fresh.
I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone who is in need of a good neighborhood sushi restaurant.

Arguably one of the best sushi places in the City...and without a doubt one of the cheapest for the quality you get. Everything is fresh, and the sushi menu is gigantic and creative. As another reviewer pointed out, the non-sushi items aren't very good. But, what kind of prole gets chicken teriyaki in a sushi place?
We love the service, too. They are nice to first timers and very helpful, and they truly warm up to repeat customers (like us).
If you like fresh sushi, BYOB, a 20's and 30's crowd, free valet, a nice clean look, and good service, come here. If you are being dragged to a sushi place by your girlfriend and you plan on eating chicken teriyaki...maybe you should stick to Panda Express.

Great place for inexpensive terrific sushi. Friendly service, if not always speedy, and crisp but not harsh decor lend a nice atmosphere. My husband and I go at least once a month and have never been disappointed with the sushi quality. Plus, it is BYOB so you can bring a great bottle of wine and have a nice night out without breaking the bank!

Really horrible food. Not authentic Japanese in any way. Chicken teriyaki dinner included miso (luke warm), salad (ok) and very very sweet teriyaki chicken (all dark meat). Ordered the steamed dumpling) which was all mush from being over cooked and totally flavor-less ... even the sauce was bland. Price was high for lunch ($15 for chicken teriyaki) and $4 for 4 small dumplings we did not even eat. No wonder the place is empty. Service was attentive and very kind...but could not make up for the poor quality of food. Would not go back.
