I love this place i really do. I just hate when I make a trip up only to see it full of people. Only solution would be to vacate a larger building. I'm not a vegi guy, but I can dig on there dishes that are well worth the prices seeing that starbucks sucks my nuts. Excellent Apple Cider. Regular coffee gives you the buzz you desire. the staff is hit or miss like anywhere else. I have never had a problem. I will continue to spend my money here, and avoid all the soccer moms and horrible coffee at starbucks.

What a cafe should be. friendliest staff in town! great veggie food, especially the homemade soup. excellent breakfast sandwiches. yes, it does get crowded....a testament to their superior quality coffee drinks. hopefully they can expand. what can i say?/???? comfy, cool, and delicious...

Ugh, what a miserable place. I really wanted to like this place, I really, really did. But I really, really, really don't. Ridiculously expensive, easily rivaling Starbucks prices. The hipster too-cool staff always seems annoyed and bothered by the fact they have to serve you. And plan on getting whatever you want to go because the tables are always filled with ONE person staring at his computer screen. Go ANYWHERE else!

Saturday morning we dropped in for a quick coffee before our daughters tap class at Old Town - what a great place! The staff found the time to be ultra-friendly even though they were completely packed, coffee was quite tasty and priced very well. This is what a neighborhood coffee shop is supposed to be, we will definitely be returning!

I am sitting at the Grind Cafe writing this review. What a fantastic find! I had been going to Starbucks as it was the only coffee place in the area and I am so happy to have a real coffeeshop in my neighborhood. I have become a regular due to their quality of coffee, food, and service. Additionally, the staff is truly one of the friendliest, funniest groups of people I have ever encountered in a cafe. I applaud this cafe for doing it and doing it right. Beome a regular...it is worth the trip.

I thought that independent coffee shops were supposed to be better than their abominated chain competition? The Grind is almost as expensive as the Starbucks down the street, with significantly poorer coffee concoctions, surly staff, and a crowded environment - good luck finding a seat when all four tables are being hogged by powerbook hipsters mooching off of the free Wi-Fi.

The food menu is veggie-only, but the most boring alternatives - you're going to have to be more creative than "lettuce and tomato on a bagel" to stay in business.

Just what the neighborhood needed. A real cafe, independently owned and operated with great coffee, bagels, salads and sandwiches. The Meditterean sandwich is really good as is the melted cheese croissant. The sweets are so good. Something for everyone. Try a Frozen Red smoothie made with raspberries, yogurt,oj and honey. Great atmosphere and really nice staff.

Phenomenal coffee from Intelligentsia! Outstanding food: Bagels (from Kaufmann), Quiches, Cakes, Sandwiches, Salads, plus Teas, Juices, Smoothies for those hot summer days. Great atmosphere with cool jazzy music in the background and an ever friendly staff.
