Uptown Bikes is a great, friendly, unpretentious, no BS local shop. They'll sell you stuff, sure, but they're equally into making sure you know what's going on with your bike, that you can do some work yourself if that's your thing, and that you feel comfortable with what they're telling you. Highly recommended.

I will never have any of my bikes serviced at any other shop. I bought an excellent commuter from them. I just bought a higher-end road bike from another bicycle shop as Uptown has a limited stock of road bikes. However, I trust the people that work at Uptown more than any other bike mechanics/sales people. Unpretentious and completely reliable.

There is no better bike shop on the planet. The staff is friendly and very helpful. They never make you feel like you ask stupid questions even though we do. Thanks UB. You are loved!!

Everyone who works here is knowledgeable and helpful, and they don't have that "I am a bicycle god" attitude I found at some other shops. I was very happy to buy my bike from Uptown; they continue to support my biking life in many ways.

The service is always friendly and everybody who has ever helped me has gone above and beyond the call of duty to make sure all my questions are answered. I won't take my bike anywhere else!

I began commuting home from work 9 months ago with a vintage schwinn and a need to loose weight. This shop was on my commute home and everyone has been really helpful. I've learned a lot about taking care of my bike and resolved several physical ache and pain issues I developed with their help and suggestions. The people are the reason I keep coming back for all my bike needs.
