If you like a "very loud" environment, big hamburgers and trashy people, you are gonna LOVE this place... You can have fun, I am sure about it... Rockit is a big Mc Donals with cool music and a lot of tacky women...

Visiting Rockit many times, I am able to comment on a few of their menu items. For the veggie lovers or hummus lovers, their appetizer of white bean hummus is delicious. It is accompanied with many vegetables, pita bread, and crackers. I also love their shrimp cocktail and rockit pockits for appetizers. This place is great as an after work bar with friends and/or coworkers. The drinks are great, the atmosphere is very social, and there are many great menu items. The serving staff is knowledgable about everything on the menu. Although, I would have to say that the pasta with crab and shrimp could use a little work on the sauce. It was a little watery and unflavorful. Rockit is great for food and drinks! Fun time and good music. I would recommend if you would prefer a not-so-loud setting for food to stay downstairs, but if you are looking to meet more people in an upbeat music, more social setting - head to the second floor! Rock On!!!

Since this is the first week of the smoking ban in Chicago, I found myself looking for a new hangout. A friend told me about Rockit and I was more than pleased. I enjoy eating in a smoke free environment, however, the social smoker that I am, I wanted to smoke with my favorite drink, Grey Goose Gimlet up please. After a fun dinner with the girls (with the help of an excellent server named Daniel), all we had to do was travel upstairs to find our fix.

Being the ultimate consumer that I am, the experience was exceptional. I now have a new spot to take clients that are in from out of town. The last thing I want is for a potential west coast client suffering in the Chicago winter.

    Food for thought.

Me and my girlfriends used to frequent Rockit a lot- it's a great place to see and be seen and the food's pretty good too. But lately, it seems like the place has fallen off. I mean the music's outdated and one of the hostesses there was rude to say the least. I would call her a name if I didn't have tact. She should be fired and the music should be upgraded.
