I was in Chicago a week ago & my niece suggested we meet for lunch at Pearl's Place. The food was delicious I had Liver & onions & it was seasoned just right not real salty & the portions were just right I ate all my food & didn't feel stuffed. I am looking forward to going there again to try out there breakfast and also the service was very good the waitress was very pleasant.

I visited Pearl's place on Saturday, March 21, 2008. I had cheese grits with hot sausauge and shrimp. Delicious, Delicious, Delicious! Their homemade biscuits are big and buttery! Atomosphere is cozy and service is great!

Love, love, love Pearl's! We actually went there by accident and were very pleased. The friend chicken was cooked to perfection and we specifically loved our waitress, Brandy. We will definitely be back and recommend it to anyone looking for southern fare.

The food and the service were great. But, the waitress overcharged us. Our bill should have been approx. $70, but she told us it was $89. Since we had such a large group, I didn't think about the total until later that night. We never saw the bill. (It was never offered to us).

So, if you go to this restaurant, make sure that you see your bill and it is accurate.

Love this place! I was leery about going here, but the place was fabulous. The restaurant was neat and clean and the food was great! It did seem a little slow, but I didn't mind considering I was getting "fresh food." This is a new spot for me for sure!

Pearl's Place restaurant has the most succulent Fried Chicken and Catfish around. They do a great buffett on Saturdays and Sundays also. I was told they make the monkey rolls from scratch and corn muffins. I also liked the collard greens and yams--lip smackin' good!
