Sadly, while the prices have remained low at this location, their quality control has been utterly compromised. (!!!) While this used to be my favorite sushi in evaston, my last visit was so bad I could not bear to finish my lunch. The salmon chucks in the spicy salmon roll were unnaturally chewy and the mexican maki contained tiny pieces of 'suspicious yelowtail', many of which I could not even chew. Both rolls were overwhlemed by mayonnaise to disguise the poor quality of the fish.

Really good stuff. For the price, I can safely say the quality is quite comparable to the likes of much more upscale Sushi restaurants Ive been to. The menu varies enough with their specials, the maki rolls are outstanding (the Chicago was daunting in its size). Portions are very worth the money, and the quality of the fish they use and the cuts they perform all balled up comes to a very pleasant experience.

My husband and I order from this place a lot. We're moving into the city in a couple of days and we'll really miss it! The sushi is consistently good, very reasonably priced, and the staff is very nice. If you're getting takeout, call ahead--it usually takes about 20 minutes.

If you want sushi that is good, fresh and great on the pocket book, this is the place. My husband and I have tried every place that serves sushi in Evanston and this by far is the best for the price. It is even better than some that are pricer. Try the Sumo roll - great for sharing and it has everything in it you could ever want. Sashimi Sashimi also has tabels now which make it easier to have a conversation. Friendly service and great food!!!!
