I work at NU close by. I felt compelled to post a review after reading other ones on Yelp. I frequent the Subway next door and always sat at the tables outside. There is no sign so I always assumed they were for Subway patrons too. Today a lady walked out of Eppy's and blew a whistle (yes, a whistle) in my face and told me "NO SUBWAY PEOPLE!!) I would have left it at this, but after reading other posts about the owner's treatment of minorities, even calling one woman the "n" word while walking down the street, I will never EVEN TRY EATING HERE. I also saw posts of crude remarks made to women. Keeping this man in business is a shame and detrimental to the community. People should not be harassed while sitting at a table or while walking down the street. Chicago I hope you agree with me.

Excellent Reuben sandwich! Great value. I spent 8 bucks for a drink, 2 sides and a reuben sandwich. Compared to what I can get for 8 bucks at other places, this place is AWESOME. The owner's a character who talks a lot, but the place is noisy so you can't really hear him. Who cares. The place is delicious. Go here.

eppy's deli does indeed belong in nyc. they pride themselves on emulating seinfeld's soup nazi, but still get your order wrong half of the time, and are spicy with you while doing it. the food is good, and being a regular helps you to get what you actually pay for.

I work at the hospital campus. I stopped by this place about three months ago. Food is good, but the music is TOO loud for the small space and the owner, is just a crabby man. Never a smile. I won't be going back as I paid for lunch, there was this very offensive, repulsive magnet on the cash register, "I AM NOT A GYNECOLOGIST, BUT I CAN CHECK YOU OUT" - is that funny to people? You just lost my business!

Dry? What'd you order? Besides, they make it however you want. Just ask those dudes for a little extra mayo, and the mustard is on the table. I guess wet equals delicious. Try the soup.
I like the reubens. I eat at this place once every couple of weeks, and the food is damn good. The owner? He's an acquired taste, but everyone should lighten up a little.

Eppy's is the best deli in Chicago! Fresh homeade ingredients - the best Reuben EVER - friendly staff & great prices. Delicious! It belongs in NYC!

I go to Eppy's most mornings and their bagels and homemade creamcheese are delicious. The staff is so friendly and inviting and the owner is a hilarious and great guy. Great food, Great service.

This is by far one of the best delis that I have been to. I love food and one of my favorite sandwich is the Ruben, and Eppy’s Deli has the best. If you’re ever in Chicago check this place out.
