Absolutely dreadful. After a long day of strolling through Chicago shops, I was in dire need of some good nourishment. What I found waiting through My Thai's doors, however, was a sad excuse for food. If I was My Thai's owner, I'd be ashamed to have to call this particular place "mine." I ordered the pad Thai, and was extremely disappointed to find on my plate, in the place of the scrumptious dish I expected, a sweet orange mess. I couldn't even stand to eat more than one bite of this pile of sugar. Even my iced tea, which was ordered as a refuge from the spiciness I expected, was terribly sweet. Eventually, my mother and I were both forced to resort to complaining. The waitress promptly explained that the dish tastes like this. That pad thai is supposed to be sweet. But whatever. I got some adequate veggie/ tofu dish in place of this, and it was filling enough. However, I WONT come back. No matter what.

On my first visit to My Thai I was unimpressed. The Pad Thai (tofu) was greasy, the Lard Nar was tasteless. However, the service was decent and the price is amazingly low for its location.
Some colleagues wanted to go for lunch a few months after I'd been there the first time, so I thought I'd give it another chance. One of the ladies ordered some noodle dish and found a dead roach in it. They comped the whole meal and rushed us off the property as quickly as possible.
There are a lot of Thai restaurants in Chicago. My Thai is hardly one of the best.

since i've moved here about 2 years ago, i haven't had a better pad thai. there is just something about My Thai's pad thai and crab rangoon (maybe the sauce!) that is absolutely amazing. i often find myself coming there in craving fits. and the staff is charming! its size makes it a comfortable environment and to top it off it isalso reasonably priced. p
