Jun01 My friend and I took sort of this same route as what you have pannled back in 2009. Check out our blog, for ideas. We did a lot of camping/staying with friends along the way so we weren't 100% on Route 66 the whole way. On the way back I highly recommend picking up Highway 50. Unfortunately the shoe tree was chopped down, but it's a great stretch of road. If you have time, check out Arches National Park in Utah, AMAZING!

I find that their internet advertising is deceiving and inappropriate, along with their employees behavior. Upon advertising on Facebook the following statement: "dollar beers tonite!!!!! and $2 U-CALL ITS!!!! all the Way till 4am!! Come out and Play!!" (posted on Wedne...sday, October 13th). Upon entering and ordering what has been considered a $2 drink (a Long Island and a Blue Mother F'er), I was happy. However, I was informed upon closing out my tab that these drinks were no longer $2, but $5.50. These drinks are made with house/well liquor (I watched them being made), hence should fall under the $2 drink rule. Were there to be stipulations to the advertising made, this would be a different story. Upon addressing my concerns to the manager that these stipulations were not advertised or announced, either in written form at the bar when entering or on the internet advertising Cadillac Ranch is engaged in, I was told promptly to leave. I find this to be extremely offensive and rude considering I have been a long time customer at this establishment. I find the actions of the manager on duty October 13th and the bar staff to be inappropriate and ignorant. Should something be advertised, it should be fulfilled. I have doubts as to whether I would want to continue to be a patron at this business, as were the people that I went there with, when treated so poorly by the staff and management.

Love it! Nice people who are willing to go out of their way to help learn the dances. I fyou don't dance it's fun to watch. If you like down to earth, friendly people and country music this is the place for you. There are all ages there so no one feels out of place.

I used to go there regularly a few years ago, and went back recently, and thought that it used to be a lot of fun. But now is a joke. Especially since now it is more of a meat market than ever! Especially when the "country bar" part stops at 11PM!!! That is rediculous!!! I remember when it was country music all the way till 4am and did perfectly well without the gangbangers!!

Cadillac Ranch is a great place to dance! Beginners are welcome and there are plenty of experienced dancers, too.

I have't been to the Ranch in a couple of years but the best nights were always TUES, fri and sat.....what changed? I have to agree with the ignorance of club music after 2am, there are other places for that. People go to the Ranch for the country lifestyle, not just the music. It's where guys still tip their hats and you dance because you like it not just because the guy is "hot". If you go there with any type of regularity, you are known by face and name. Try being remembered at a "meat market" dance club.

Does the Ranch still have a gift shop where you can buy cowboy hats and shirts and boots and stuff. I haven't been there for years and was wondering if anyone knew
