This place is great: cozy, welcoming, reasonably priced and delicious dishes. Our server, Erica, was one of 2 servers for the whole place and was overworked but did her absolute best. The meals come with soup or salad and are reasonably priced, including the special stuffed pork chop with veggies for $12.75 and a delicious chicken tippi with pasta for $13. Both were hot and delicous. The wine list is also good with different price points. The roasted garlic with your bread and the chocolate covered cherries set this place from the rest. We will be back!

If you are looking for a good excuse to pick your butt up off the couch on a weekend night, this place is right up your alley. That's right. Don't enter off the street. Go in through the alley to the south. The owner, Roger greeted us with a wide smile and a firm handshake. The specials menu was so lengthy I had to take the list from my server to review it before ordering two delicious items from it. This neighborhood is a hidden gem in Chicago. You'll ask yourself why haven't I ever been here before? Ignotz's is good.

we highly recommend this restaurant. the veal is outstanding, grilled octopus appetizer definitely worth trying, sea bass great, service great, never a long wait. we see no reason to go italian anywhere else in chicago.

If your in the city and want a nice restaurant for special occasions or everyday fare, Ignotz's is the place to be!
The food is made to order fresh and delicious. Among my family's menu favorites are the ravioli, gnocci, lasagna & pizza. And if you don't see what you want on their menu, Ignotz's staff will do their best to accomodate you. Don't forget to leave room for one of their fabulous desserts. Afterwards your check is presented with Ignotz's signature cherries dipped in chocolate, and nestled in a bed of fresh whipped cream.
At Ignotz's you are treated like family. The staff is friendly and professional. One of the owners, Roger & Joan, are usually available and always make their way around the room.
We've celebrated several of life's milestones at Ignotz's, for it is truly a great little place.

Ignotz has the best italian food and pizza in Chicago--everything they serve is delicious and the service is excellent.
