My girlfriend and I love this local neighborhood pub-restaurant in the South Loop. It's Irish-American menu is fantastic, as is the service and atmosphere. Try the Irish Nachos...you will love them!

If you're looking for a neighborhood restaurant in the South Loop, Grace O'Malley's is a good choice. Don't be put off by the bar in front. Keep walking to the back and you'll come upon the entrance to a charming dining room.
I ate at here on Friday,12/9/05. The weather was cold and it seemed like the perfect night for comfort food, so I ordered the Irish Blue Cheese-Crusted Pork Loin served with au gratin potatoes, crispy onions, and sautéed green beans.
This turned out to be the perfect cold weather meal. The pork was tender and delicious and the rich, crusty potatoes were the ideal accompaniment. The beans would have been better if they were not served in the demi-glace, but this meal was not about the beans.
I had a glass of Stella Artois with the meal, but wine would also have been a good choice.
Prices here are reasonable and portions are huge so unless you are starving, you might want to think about sharing.
