Cafe Avanti has indeed moved up the street to 3714 N. Southport Ave. It is actually closer to the Music Box Theatre (settled more mid-street.)
The new location is excellent and the menu has expanded. One has such a welcome feeling while there, sort of a home away from home. You can't beat the free, super-fast wireless. While there, you can even create your own sandwich or salad with a vast selection of healthy incrdients, i.e. hummous, tofu, organic greens, spinach, cranberries. The list goes on and on.
The coffee and espresso are superb. There are also a number of yerba mate and goji juice drinkers. Cafe Avanti also makes fresh berry and protein smoothies with nothing artificial at all. All in all, a pretty cool hotspot on Southport Ave.
I think the hours are from 7a.m. until 11p.m. or midnight.

Looks like they are moving down the block or remodeling in August 2005.
